Mr. Akheil Akeem Badillo is a young and ambitious individual dedicated to the advancement of the tourism industry in his community and the country of Belize. Born on April 14th, 1994, Mr. Badillo is the fourth of six children, raised by his father, Mr. Merven Badillo, a native of the stunning island of Caye Caulker, located 45 minutes off the coast of Belize City, and his mother, who was born and raised in Belize City.

Mr. Badillo’s educational journey began at Ethel Vargas Preschool, where he received a solid foundation in early childhood education. He continued his studies at St. Mary’s Primary School, where he excelled academically. His pursuit of knowledge led him to Gwen Lizarraga High School, where he obtained a Diploma in Business Administration. During his time at Gwen Lizarraga High School, he distinguished himself as a peer helper for four years and served as a prefect for three years.

With a deep passion for the tourism industry and a unique understanding of its foundations, Mr. Badillo immersed himself in the field. Having been partially raised on the captivating island of Caye Caulker, he possessed intrinsic knowledge of the essential aspects of the tourism industry. In 2013, his dedication and expertise were recognized as he was elected to the Board of Directors for the Caye Caulker Belize Tourism Industry Association, assuming the role of Treasurer, a position he held until 2023. Currently, he serves the Board of Directors as the Secretary.

Throughout his tenure, Mr. Badillo has facilitated workshops and provided valuable assistance to fellow Board members, contributing to the enhancement of services in this thriving industry. His reputation as a skilled Master of Ceremonies extends beyond the community, as he is sought after for his engaging services throughout the country.

Mr. Badillo also dedicates his time to educating the students of Caye Caulker Ocean Academy, where he conducts workshops, emphasizing the importance of tourism and promoting sustainable tourism development. He stands as an advocate for both his community and the tourism industry, always ready to extend a helping hand and eager to expand his knowledge.
